1. Open Corel to new a graphic.
2. It is best to perform this process on the road you have already built.
3. Use the Bezier Tool, Go to the tool bar on the left of the screen and slide your mouse down to the fifth tool, you may need to left click and hold until the menu flies out, the Bezier Tool will be the second tool in this flyout menu.
4. With the Bezier Tool, left click and let up, where you want the line of devices to start, move to the next location – left click let up and move to the next location. Continue to left click and let up until you have the desired line.
5. When you are satisfied with your line click on the Pick Tool or simply press the Space Bar. (Hint you may press the Space Bar to toggle between the selected tool and the Pick Tool)
6. Navigate to the TRAFFICGRAPHICS® Devices directory and choose a cone stack.
7. Size the cone stack by using the corner handle
8. With the cone stack selected, go to the Property Bar and choose Ungroup
9. Click somewhere else to deselect the cone stack
10. Now left Click and hold on the top cone
11. Drag the top cone away from the other cones in the stack; you should have a line of cones across your drawing screen
12. Now click in the middle of the line of cones
13. Go to the Property Bar and slide your mouse across the tools until the balloon tip shows Path Properties and then click
14. Choose New Path
15. Now move your mouse to the line you drew and click on the line. The cones will fit to the path. Do not worry if they do not fit to the whole path. That is the next step (If you are using CorelDRAW 12, you will need to click on a blank area of the screen and then click on the middle of the cones, do not select the line)
16. Now go back to the Property Bar and slide your mouse across the tools until the balloon tip show Miscellaneous Blend Options
17. Then Click Blend Along Full Path
18. If you need more or less cones, go to the Property Bar and slide your mouse across the tools, when the balloon tip shows Number Of Steps Between the Blend Shapes, change the number to the desired quantity. The two end cones do not count in the number field, if you want exactly 20 cones you will need to change the number to 18.
19. Now click on a blank space on the drawing page to deselect the cones, click on the line you drew, zoom in if you need to, Go to the color palette on the right side of your screen , follow the colors to the top and right click on the no-color box. Your cones are still attached to the line you just cannot see it.
20. We have already provided many of the devices in a stack, and they will be done much the same way.
