The impact attenuators from the Traffic Graphics were designed using the extrude feature in CorelDRAW. An "extrusion is a feature that lets you apply a three-dimensional perspective by projecting lines from an object to create the illusion of depth.” As quoted from the Help Section within CorelDRAW.
When CorelDRAW releases newer versions of the software they may have changed how the extrude functions causing the Traffic Graphics impact attenuator to display differently. Below are the instructions to fix the drawings you created using the impact attenuator with an earlier release of CorelDRAW.
Below are the instructions on how to fix drawings that contain impact attenuators.
1. Open the diagram using CorelDRAW version 11 or 12.
Do not be alarmed if there is a big black streak running across the drawing screen.
2. Select the diagram, if the diagram is grouped - Click Ungroup. (Avoid Ungroup All)
3. With the Pick Tool click off the drawing to deselect.
4. From the Menu Bar - Click View - Wireframe
5. Find all the impact attenuators, use the pick tool to select the item and from the keyboard press the Delete key. Make sure you delete all of them.
6. From the Menu Bar - Click View - Enhanced
7. Save the diagram.
